Homefills gears up to kick-start new plant; eyes export market


Homefills, the rapidly expanding spices brand based in Odisha, is gearing up for a major expansion. The company is on the verge of opening its new state-of-the-art production facility in Ramdaspur, Cuttack. With this development, Homefills, a unit of Divya Multigrains Pvt. Ltd., has its sights set on entering export markets and broadening its product range.


The new production unit at Homefills utilizes cutting-edge cold grinding technology, which involves pre-freezing spices before the grinding process. This innovative approach enhances the retention of physiochemical properties in the spices, resulting in improved sensory characteristics, flavor, aroma, and taste. According to Shri Bichitrananda Senapati, Founder & MD of Homefills, "We have always believed in leveraging modern technologies to produce high-quality products. This technology will ensure superior quality and flavor in our spices, offering a fresh and handpicked experience to our customers. It will enable us to maintain the trust of our satisfied customers who seek top-notch spices."


Currently, Homefills produces over 300 varieties of whole and blended spices at its existing plant near Pahala, serving markets such as Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, Karnataka, Telangana, and exporting spices to Nepal. "With the upcoming operationalization of the new plant, we plan to ramp up our market expansion efforts and explore export opportunities," says Shri Senapati. The company also has its sights set on expanding its product portfolio, particularly in the instant food segment.


Before venturing into international markets, Homefills has strengthened its presence in the online marketplace. Rajat Senapati, the son of Shri B N Senapati, has played a pivotal role in establishing Homefills in the online marketplace by implementing modern branding and customer outreach strategies. Rajat, a young and dynamic leader, oversees the company's e-commerce operations, online marketplace presence, social media strategies, and campaigns, in addition to its operations in states like Telangana and Karnataka. He is confident that Homefills will emerge as a trusted and beloved spice brand not only in India but also on a global scale.
